Wolverine bunched up his muscles and sprang into a tree. Several pine needles dwindled down to the forest floor. A stream ran softly near by. A thrush fluttered in a branch near Wolverine's head. He crouched and then sprang at the bird just as it was fluttering out of the tree. He landed with a thump on the ground, but with the bird in his jaws. "Nice catch...." a voice sounded behind him, "bro," it added. Wolverine's brother grunted behind him. "What do you want?" Wolverine snapped. "Oh nothing," Sabertooth replied. Wolverine rolled his eyes and started to pad away. "Wait!" his brother called behind him. His lean, tan body was hardly visible in the hazy brown sunhigh sunlight. "What?" "Help me with something," Sabertooth whipped around a stalked away, flicking his tail for his brother to follow.

Stalk accidently intruded on the two brothers, but he didn't know. he just leaped into the pine tree and send pine cones hurtling down on the brothers.

Wolverine whipped around and saw a cat set up in the trees. "Who's there?" he asked

Sorrelly sat silently up in a neighboring tree, her dark golden tail flicking lightly. Nothing could see or hear her; not even if they tried. She was a master of stealth and precision. She could leap from this tree and land squarely on a mouse, hundreds of feet down. It was how you landed, not the distance from the ground that mattered. If she desperately wanted to kill herself, she'd land on all fours, her muscles bunched and tensed. Instead, to live, you'd have to land on your back legs, relaxed and loose. See, if you land on all fours, the shock of hitting the ground so hard goes through your legs, causing pain, injury and possibly death; but it you landed back legs first, the shock would be transferred from the back to the front. Kind of like shock absorbers. She chuckled silently to herself. Two legs always said that cats always landed on all four feet; correct. But did they ever think how much it hurt, even if they landed on all fours? Dumb creatures.

"Let's go," Sabertooth urged angirly. "Shut up," Wolverine smacked his tail over his brother's mouth. "Ignore him," he meowed to the cat up in the trees. (Stalk XD)

'Well... there's nothing better to do, so I might as well make myself known.' She thought to herself. And as she said she could do, she leaped out of the tree. Of course she started gaining speed, but that didn't worry her. Her long golden fur slowed her slightly, but she reached the ground at quite a speed... but landed with ease, her soft pads helping the fall. She smirked to herself; it felt good to show off, even if they didn't see her.

Sabertooth grumbled and dashed away into a clearing and nearly bowled right into a golden cat. "Whoa! Hello," he meowed and groomed his pelt so that no leaves were sticking to it. "Who are YOU?" he asked.

"That name's Sorrelly. And you?" Sorrelly mumbled, flicking her tail.

Sabertooth squinted and bared his teeth, "Huh, I don't mean to be friendly. Let's go," he growled to his brother. "Wolverine," Wolverine grunted and reluctantly followed Sabertooth.
