Lightfeather led her apprentice Coconutpaw into the jungle.
"What do you scent?" she mewed.
"I scent......" Coconutpaw let all the scents linger into her nostrils, "........ a macaw!"
"Good!" Lightfeather flicked her tail towards a limb of a leafy branch where the macaw sat, cleaning it's bright feathers.
Coconutpaw stalked up towards it and crouched at the base of the tree, waiting. Suddenly, she shot upwards, and swatted a paw at the bird. Stunned, the macaw fell to the ground, but before it could fly away again, she killed it with a few paw-swattings on the neck.
"Well done!" Lightfeather meowed to her apprentice when Coconutpaw came out of the leafy bushes and laid her prey down next to her mentor.

Aurorapaw padded out of the bushes behind her mentor, Palmstar. Suddenly she froze, and opened her mouth to get a better scent. She squinted, and sure enough, a mouse was rusting around in the roots of a nearby tree. She crept toward it silently, bunched her hindquarters, and pounced. She landed on top of the mouse and killed it with a quick bite to the neck. Then she carried it over to Palmstar.

"Thankya!" coconutpaw meowed to her leader and Lightfeather brushed her tail along coconut's pelt.
"Great catch!" Coconutpaw meowed to Aurorapaw and dipped her head weirdly, "hehe!" she commented on her own fault.

"Right then, shall we join patrol? SInce there are so many cats in this one spot, we might as well go on a boarder patrol!" SInce Lightfeather was the deputy, she was allowed to make some decisions.
"Bossy, right?" Coconutpaw meowed to her friend Aurorapaw about Lightfeather, "She may be by friend but yesterday, she made me go get another squirrel for Winterfrost becuase it didn't have enough meat on it!"

"Wow! That's pretty rediculous." Aurorapaw whispered back, still waiting for approval from Palmstar.

"So... anything new?" Coconutpaw mewed to Aurorapaw, as their mentors chatted.
"I hear that ValleyClan have a new weird scent..." Coconutpaw spilled the gossip.

"Not much!" Coconutpaw sighed, she was usually the gossip queen of the camp.
"THe next gathering is so far away, but I'm sure we'll here a murmur of gossip around there next time!" Coconutpaw was sure.

"So? Shall we turn this hunting party into a patrol?" Lightfeather sugested and shot a glance at her apprentice to make sure she wasn't getting into trouble.
